Doris Reinke Research Center

The Doris M. Reinke Research Center is an integral part of the Walworth County History Center. It contains a vast collection of rare books, documents, maps, photos and 3-D artifacts as well as other ephemera related to the history of the county, the State of Wisconsin and the United States. The center is open to individuals who wish to do research. An all volunteer staff is available to assist with research requests. Research is available for members free of charge. Non-members are also welcome and donations are gratefully accepted.

Our Story

Since 1904

The Walworth County Historical Society was incorporated August 29, 1904.

In its 1906 report to the State Historical Society it was stated that the Walworth County historical Society held “a great collection of books, pamphlets, circulars, maps, charts, diagrams, pictures, autograph letters, and relics of real interest.”
